Introduction
MMy – Wood Wharf, a food store and restaurant in the heart of London, required a lighting system that would reduce energy consumption and create the perfect ambiance for their customers. They turned to Brillienz, an energy solutions provider, to help them achieve their goals.
Client Needs
MMy – Wood Wharf had several requirements for their lighting system. They needed an efficient and easy-to-use lighting system that would save energy costs, as well as bespoke dimming features that could be individually controlled for food counters, customer areas and seating layout. The client also needed control of areas directly adjacent to the perimeter glass and the ability to program the lighting system to turn on and off at specific times.
Brillienz Solution
Brillienz’s solution was a Smart Lighting system that included bespoke dimming features and a Daylight Harvesting Lighting System. The system was tailored to the client’s needs, allowing for individual selective dimming control for different areas of the store. The new Smart Lighting system is managed by a single platform that incorporated Bluetooth 5 controllers throughout the multi-technical lighting installation. Smart sensors were also installed for Daylight Harvesting adjacent to the glass areas to efficiently manage the lighting performance.
The system was commissioned to accomodate multiple opening and closing schedules and personalised user scenes for dimming, single, group, or areas as desired. The Daylight Harvesting feature utilised the Smart Sensor to efficiently manage the lighting performance adjacent to the large glass areas. The lighting system was easily controlled from a smartphone or tablet, allowing the client to turn the lights on or off as needed.
